Soil Analyses

The weaving map represents the areal distribution of the granulometric fractions classified according to the USDA methodology (International Standard, ref. U.S. Department of Agriculture). Each cell is assigned a % value of sand, silt, clay, skeleton and the USDA textural class. Each parameter is accompanied by an assessment of the reliability of the estimated value. The representation of the territory takes place through a raster with pixels with a side of 100 m. The attribution of the pixel values is the result of a geostatistical analysis in the plains and Digital Soil Mapping in the Apennines and refers to the first 30 cm of soil.
