This dataset contains the results of the "3-30-300 rule" analysis in Funen. The "3-30-300 rule" is an urban forestry framework created by Cecil Konijnendijk, Director of the Nature-Based Solutions Institute (https://nbsi.eu/330300-principle/); it is designed to ensure equitable access to nature, reduce urban heat, and improve public health. The rule sets three measurable targets for every building (with focus on residential ones):
- visibility of trees
- percentage of canopy cover around
- proximity to green areas
Lineage: the layer is based on the “addresses” dataset provided by the City of Lund (note: the number of features is limited to the addresses falling into the boundary provided, clipping out all data outside the boundary).
Eight new attributes have been added to the original ones:
- two per criteria (3 = visibility, 30 = coverage, 300 = proximity): a boolean variable telling if the criterion is met and a decimal value describing the criterion score:
- percentage of visibility (50% to meet the criterion)
- percentage of coverage (30% to meet the criterion)
- distance in meters along the network to the closest green area (within 300m to meet the criterion)
- a global discrete index (0-3 describing the number of criteria met),
- a global continuous index, based on the decimal scores (*)
(*) formula = round("crit3_perc" + "crit30_perc" + if("crit300_m_dist" is null, 0, 100 - "crit300_m_dist" / 300 ))
